Antique Cigarette Cigarillo Cigar. By Saunders & Shepherd. Silver Mounted and Hallmarked Chester 1894. Original cedar interior, with a removable center divider to accommodate either cigars or two banks of cigarettes with the center divider in place. Measures 6″ Wide x 4″ Deep x 2 High. A tortoise shell and sterling silver inlay cigarette box, the interior cedar wood. Makers mark for Saunders & Shepherd (the firm founded in 1869 and still working), town mark for their Chester branch and L for 1894. This is a 1894 Chester silver mounted with hallmarks, tortoiseshell cigarette box. It’s in super condition and has its original cedar interior, with a removable center divider to accommodate small cigars.

This case is no longer in production. Original Box includes stickers which label the cigar case as a PROMO. The Griffin’s logo is on the box, the protective felt, and the case itself. The carbon fiber case has a beautiful uniform woven pattern under a lacquer and is extremely light weight. Strong seal as well. I have seven (7) of these cigar cases to sell. Don’t know a lot of the history of this – couldn’t find anything like it after researching online. Interesting case that starts off as the top of a woman when closed, then when opened shows the lower part of her body. 4.5″ x 3″ wide (closed). 7.25 long (open).
