These vintage tortoiseshell celluloid boxes are often called cigarette cases or trinket boxes. They are highly collectible and sought-after. This particular box is unusual in that the original label is in perfect condition. Made by Art Plus Co. Made in Tokyo, Japan. 6.125W x 4.25D x 2.25H. In excellent vintage condition with label intact. Spring-assist opening via wide push tab. 24K gold washed interior with lip carrying metal purity stamp and triangular hallmark of unidentified silversmith. Kindly review condition notes and study close-up views for detail. Generous 4.2″ wide to push-tab, 3.0″ deep, 0.35 thick. 128.7 grams or 4.1 troy ounces.
