This piece is in very nice condition. The mechanics still work. You slide the panel with the red knob to fill. You manually push the handle beside the duck, small drawer will open duck picks up cigarette. The base measures approximately 7″ x 3 1/2″.

Features marquetry inlay all around and inside, the bird is hand painted. This mechanical device works by opening the lid and the bird pops up with the cigarette in his beak. This was designed to take “normal size” cigarettes such as Camel’s or Lucky Strikes. Overall dimensions are 4 1/2″ Tall x 4 1/2″ wide x 4 Thick. There is a side box that holds matches on left side measuring 2 1/4″ long x 1 1/2″ tall x 1/2 thick. The box is in very good condition, and everything works as it should. Bird does pick cigarette up and works fine. Beautiful variation of natural wood tones.

This is a great item. You load the cigarettes in the top of the box. When you are ready for a smoke, you wind up the music box then press the small button under the books and a puppy brings up your item. Box width is approximately 4.5 height is approximately 5 inches.
