Made of durable cupronickel with a silver-plated finish, it features an intricate relief engraving of hunters resting, evoking the charm of 19th-century Russian realism. The detailed artwork is reminiscent of the renowned painting “Hunters at Rest” by Vasily Perov. Dimensions: 10.5 x 9 cm (4.1 x 3.5 inches). Engraving: On the 60th anniversary of I. Stamp: Marked “Moscow, ” indicating origin or sale location. Condition: Good vintage condition with minor wear. This beautiful handcrafted piece is richly decorated on all sides with intricate Arabic calligraphy, likely featuring verses from the Qur’an. The box was used by scholars or scribes to store writing instruments, including reed pens, ink, and sealing tools. Extensive hand-engraved inscriptions in elegant Naskh or Thuluth script. Decorative geometric and floral motifs. A star-shaped opening inside the box likely meant for an inkpot. Original hinged lid and clasp mechanism still intact.
